Arte Moris

Arte Moris—'Living Art' in Tetun language—was a non-formal art school, exhibition space and artists’ collective based in Dili (Timor-Leste). During a 6-month teaching residency in 2008, David introduced photography and film to a group of young students mentoring them throughout the full process of filmmaking. Nine short films were produced and compiled into a DVD collection. A copy of the DVD ended up in the hands of the former Secretary of State for Culture, whom selected one of the young filmmakers to represent Timor-Leste in a CPLP film festival taking place in Mozambique.
