A subjective guide book on the capital city of Bangladesh by a group of local and international architects, planners and artists. These examine everything from Dhaka’s traffic, public space, and garbage, to its dense urban reality, borders and limits, people, and resilience. It begins by recounting a fictional meeting in which Le Corbusier, exhausted from his Chandigarh project, and Louis Kahn, designer of the monumental Parliament of Bangladesh, travel to Dhaka. Published by AECID and Altrim Publishers in November 2018. Available from Altrim Publishers and specialised bookshops such RIBA and Idea Books.
