This creative documentary explores the Spanish creative community based in London at the turn of the century. It provided a platform in which to express their views, imagination and creative expectations. From the 80 individuals interviewed, mostly were aged between 20-35 years old and included professionals in the areas of the performing arts, music and visual arts. They belong to a generation that left Spain in the 90’s, not due to financial or political problems, but rather pursuing self-development and professional careers they could not find in Spain. This documentary portraits the life, hopes and frustrations of this particular community, born in a post-dictatorship Spain, but now free to explore Europe since Spain joined the European Union in 1986.
The film was directed and produced by David Palazón and José Alvarez, with an UnLtd award, and had its opening premiere at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square on 29th of September 2004.
