Festival Cultura

Festival Cultura was a cultural festival set on the grounds of the Dili Presidential Palace in November 2010. Produced in collaboration with the Secretary of State for Culture in Timor-Leste, the goal was to showcase the cultural diversity of the communities in Timor-Leste. The festival run for three days and was programmed into different areas: traditional arts & crafts exhibition, learning space, performance stage, film showcase, gastronomy and retail space. The project involved the concept design for the event, and the curation and production of the exhibition, catalogue, merchandising and the advertising campaign. The event was a rare opportunity to see together in one place the wide diversity of traditional Timorese dance and music, so the event was documented and a compilation DVD was also produced as part of the curatorial package.
