An assignment to design the branding and catalogue for the exhibition ‘The Sculptures of Atauro Island’ at Charles Darwin University Art Collection & Art Gallery in Australia. The exhibition opened in March 2017 and featured sculptures from the CDU Art Collection, the National Collection of Timor-Leste, the National Gallery of Australia, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, and the private collections of Maria do Céu Lopes da Silva, Michael Abbott and John Graham.
The exhibition was curated by Joanna Barrkman in collaboration with Timor Aid and the Secretary of State for Arts & Culture in Timor-Leste. Two documentaries produced by David in Ataúro island were featured as part of the exhibition: Wawata Topu – Mermaids of Timor-Leste and Ro’o Putin Hatin.
In 2019, the exhibition travelled back to Timor-Leste for a show at the Timorese Resistance Archive & Museum in Dili curated by Rosalia Soares†. Once again, the assignment was to brand the exhibition and re-design the original catalogue into a trilingual publication.
